Governor Culver Congratulates Lolo Jones On Winning At The Olympic Trials
Statement from Governor Chet Culver:
"World Indoor Hurdles Champion Lolo Jones ran two spectacular races today at the Olympic Trials in Eugene, Oregon and is headed to the Olympics! I'm proud of her perseverance, dedication and excellence. I also deeply appreciate that she will donate her winnings to help Iowa flood victims. She epitomizes the best of Iowa with extraordinary talent, hard work and heart.
"I was honored to recognize Lolo Jones during the state's Black History Month celebration in February and I look forward to cheering her on next month in Beijing."
